What should I do for currency in Cuba and how much money should I bring?
What Currency to bring to Cuba
Just returned from Cayó Coco yesterday. On those keys you’re pretty much to pay only in USD when paying with a credit card. They do refuse and don’t accept pesos in cash there. Once you go to the main island, then the latter is fine, but will gladly accept your USD cash at their exchange rate. Maybe it’s different in Havana though.

I’ve been told to convert my trip money to CUP but i’ve also been told to bring USD and/or CAD. I’ll be staying in Varadero for 7 days and I just want to know what currency should I bring with me and how much money should I realistically bring for 7 days?
