Personally, I love Cubecraft’s version of Skyblock and while it may come with some perks of being free (unlike a certain server host.) I can happily say there are some drawbacks to playing on this version of skyblock.

PROS: •Reward and Receive system that allows you to obtain new items and ores throughout gameplay. •Money system that lets you purchase items that are no longer available in your island or otherwise unobtainable naturally. •Part survival and Sandbox gameplay. (I.e the use of farming as a source of income while also being able to customize your island.) •Hostile mobs will not spawn unless you have unlocked an island with said mobs. (No phantoms too!) •A wide variation of islands and places for you to explore. •Crops and Resources grow offline.

Unfortunately that’s where the pros have to end, and now being with cons.

CONS: •Cubecraft quest system does not register pre-owned items. (I.e having bread before the quest begins and being forced to make more.) •Blocks will randomly disappear beneath your feet making you plummet to the void. •Playing co-op with another person who’s internet is slower than yours also effects your gameplay. •Quests and money are not evenly distributed to players when playing co-op. •Insanely time consuming crop growth rates. (I.e having to wait 1-2 hours for one tree to grow.) •Islands do not offer much when it comes to resources and takes too long to get something basic like Iron. •Barriers blocking you from placing anymore blocks in a certain direction if you do not have an island there or it’s an empty void. •Punishment system (falling or dying) too harsh. (I.e when you have less money, there’s only 500-100 taken away. But when you have more it’s almost 1,000-8,000 taken away.) •Upgrading and enchanting items are too expensive. •Mobs spawning outside of hand-made enclosures. •Side quests and Main quests making you preform outrages tasks to complete them. (I.e collecting 500 jungle wood or 100 apples from trees.) •Not enough profile slots (IMO) •Servers closing down and making you have to switch servers. •Respawning inside blocks making you take suffocation damage. •Censorship of chat and sign text akin to E-rated games. (I.e Roblox chat filter.)

As much as I love Skyblock (and not having to pay for it.) there can’t be pieces of media without their downsides. If you think I’ve missed anything or want to add your own opinion please leave suggestions in the reply’s.

I just got a noti in chat that said "server shutdown." And sent me to the starting screen (where you select the servers) I don't know what to do and I'm scared that I lost my progress. What do I do?
