I work for a multi-channel retailer in the digital sphere. When I see something like this I instantly think, it’s probably something wrong with that component of their digital infrastructure. Ie. the system they use to fetch service available is probably broken, with them working on repairs in the background. More on reddit.com

Well it depends on the area some areas now are moving towards Walmart employees becoming delivery drivers, but yeah at the place I work it’s still all either Uber eats, DoorDash or things like instacart there may be others, the DoorDash and Uber eats come pick up orders we picked for them the instacart guys shop themselves All these delivery driver apps work differently some pay a low base wage for time worked others pay based on the order a certain amount. Tips are a big part of these peoples income though but yes they don’t work for Walmart though I have talked with many of them and they seem to make pretty decent money and also they typically are required to have commercial insurance on the vehicle which is indeed a personal vehicle. As a Walmart employee though we do monitor the drivers and we won’t load into dirty cars ect, and they also get banned if they mess up orders or other mistakes or get complaints regarding orders they deliver. Hey everyone, I placed a Walmart order for curbside pickup without realizing it’s designed for people with cars. I don’t have a car but still want to pick up my order. Has anyone been in a similar situation? What’s the best way to handle this?
Should I just head to the pickup area and let them know I’m on foot? Will they still bring my order out, or should I go inside and explain the situation?
Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!
