According to the 25 October update from the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), approximately 440,000 people are estimated to have fled from Lebanon to Syria since 23 September, 71 percent of whom are Syrians and 29 percent are Lebanese and third-country nationals. The security situation remains volatile as strikes, allegedly conducted by Israel, have been documented in the vicinity of the border crossings between Lebanon and Syria.
