I was thinking about some tips, best practices, some bad/good experiences you had, or if you talked with an engineer, what did they tell you, where would you even buy this machine, etc. Is it worth paying extra for something like Currys care and repair? Do they provide a good and timely service when it's needed? Or better to choose a machine that comes with a long (eg. 5 years) manufacturer's warranty? Do any of the manufacturers provide a good and timely in-warranty service? If you have to wait weeks for an engineer visit or parts, that's not timely, just to be clear.
My Indesit Innex has finally died yesterday. Seven years old, one of the Push and Wash models with the 45 minutes quick cycle.
I also tend to use the longer Eco cycles with extra rinse for bedding and larger loads.
Think drum bearings have packed in - machine has been noisy on spinning for a month or two, and yesterday it stopped spinning. Sounds like the motor is still going but drum not moving.
I will going to Currys to find a replacement, on a budget, trying to keep to under £300 including installation and having them take old machine for recycling. Indesit was from Currys.
Looking at Logik machines or possibly another Indesit, although they do not seem to have any Push and Wash models in stock. Only need 6kg drum really, but will go for 7kg if necessary.
Has anyone had a Logik? If they are really bad I will look at Beko or Hotpoint too.
