Can I purchase an extra set of legs for my Solo Ryzer and convert it to a Corner Ryzer?
I bought the UPLIFT Curved Corner Desk after doing research, reading reviews, assessing my space, etc. I have no regrets buying it, but I do want to improve my setup for optimal personal use, but it is so dang hard to find YouTube videos or reviews or photos of the curved corner desk--lots of straight and L-shaped desks, but not the curved corner one :( There was ONE, but I could not find it anymore (even in my YouTube history).
So, I'm turning to this subreddit. If you have the UPLIFT Curved Corner Desk, how does your setup look like?
If you don't, do you have any advice? Below is more context on what I use my desk for and what I currently have on it.
I worked from home (pre-COVID) and I can't believe I didn't invest in this earlier ;_; Bought it during COVID because my husband now shares an office with me, I've moved all my work AND play stuff to one standing desk. I basically lived at this desk for 10+ hours a day (read: work AND play).
I have 2 laptops, monitor arm for 2 monitors and a KVM switch for easy switching. This itself saved A LOT of space. This desk has also doubled as my hand lettering and pen pal working station (I store all my crafty things elsewhere) and I'm struggling to find more space with my keyboard and mouse being on the desk top.
I ordered the Big Standard Keyboard Tray from UPLIFT after the fact to give me more room on the desk top, but we have not installed it yet because I'd have to flip the desk upside down and it's been hard to find time to do this between working, "playing" and other [easier and more fun lol] "real life" stuff. I did research before buying the big standard keyboard tray to make sure it was compatible for my specific desk and even the product previews show it at a specific spot, but I want it to be able to swing in/hidden. I saw that was possible even without the spacer, but I won't know until I try.
The cable management that came with the desk was helpful, but I've got so many things plugged and it's still a mess even after spending time getting it all sorted. Both laptops, both monitors, the KVM switch need power along with the Nintendo Switch (sits on desk top as well), a lamp and the power grommet that I ordered also from UPLIFT. It's particularly more difficult because more than half of the mentioned powered items have bricks or larger power plugs so I needed 2 surge protectors and at one point, I daisy-chained some (big no-no), but I fixed that the second time I organized the cables.
Because of the tight space, my desk is in the corner and is hugged by 2 walls (I figured because it was a corner desk, that's what it's supposed to be for?) With my setup with the monitor arms (and also me being 5'4" and having short arms), the corner of the desk is barely active usable space, so I put displayable things there, but if there's a better use of this weird corner, I would love to know lol.
Apologies for the word vomit wall of text ;_; I went all-in knowing that my set-up would evolve as we go, but I'm just looking for some inspiration at this point or even shared misery LOL. Thanks in advance to those who read this and/or give advice!
I'm looking to get a corner standing desk.
Uplift desks are recommended but I'm not a huge fan of the shape of their corner desks. The curved ones are relatively small (the return is very short) and the L shaped are... well I like the curve!
Is there any other offerings out there that have a long return AND a curved corner?
