Hi all, I've been using Godaddy for years. I have my business website hosted there and I created an email address with that domain name on the end. Now I guess they are ending free email and moving to microsoft 365 with a 2 month trial for which I would need to pay after.
Are there other hosts that would allow me to keep the domain email address and have free or cheaper email? I have my domain email also forwarded to my personal gmail account, so if I can set it up in gmail somehow that would be fine. PS Please talk to me like I'm 5 because I'm a bit of a luddite!
Questions answered:
Budget: Currently paying Godaddy about $20 year? So something around that, or a bit more?
My website is currently built by Clickbooq.
I have a Custom domain from Godaddy and for the past years have been using their 5 pk essential email service, even after they moved to Office 365. Originally the email was free, then it went to $100 a year, ok, I can deal with that. This year, its going up to $325 a year, and with everything else getting more expensive, I just can't afford it.
Was curious if I can buy a Google Workspaces account for a user at $72/yr and have my [email protected] used like I would gmail (online and in outlook) instead of paying the outrageous prices Godaddy is asking for?
Hello all:
Looking for some guidance on setting up a personalized email with GoDaddy. Last week I bought an Office 365 Home subscription and I was walking through the features I noticed a section to set up a personalized email address with GoDaddy. I gave it a once-over and thought that might be useful, but ultimately didn't care.
Couple of days later my wife starts working with a real estate agency and learns they don't provide email addresses. Knowing she has a need to set up her own website, I suggested she but a domain from GoDaddy, then we can set up a personalized email address off the Office 365 subscription I shared with her.
Since then I returned to the section to set up a personalized email and it's no longer there. The help page also doesn't seem to be loading so no way to ask for help that I'm aware of.
She's in desperate need of a professional email address, so I looked into GoDaddy's options to add one to her domain. Cheapest option is $2/month but I'm hesitant to pay anything until I learn what that missing personalized email section offers.
Searching this forum has lead me to believe I made a big mistake getting her in bed with GoDaddy and I don't want to make things worse by signing her up for an email address with them, especially if there's something else I could/should be doing with this shiny new subscription.
Can anyone provide any insight?
Thanks!
