In my information security class, my professor told the whole class to go out and read news articles about cybersecurity issues. We will be spending the first 10 minutes of each class talking about interesting stuff we've read up on. Is there a good, centralized news outlet (similar to Google news) that pertains to cybersecurity issues?
Hey all! I'm a product manager who has found himself working across a few different cyber products over the past four years. One thing I've struggled with is improving my industry knowledge and keeping up to date with the ever changing landscape.
To help with this I set up a feedly account, with a bunch of feeds that I thought would be helpful.
Dark reading - cyber news
Hacker news - cyber news
Intruder intel - this one is a bit different, it's a feed that captures trending CVEs with commentary and insights from Intruder's security team
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
What are you guys doing to keep up to date on cybersecurity, new vulnerabilities etc.?
I watch LowLevel and Fireship on YouTube, because I like the daily updates in short videos to be up to date and read about it on my own if interested more. Are there any other YouTube channels that do the same, similar to Fireship/LowLevel?
Thanks! I appreciate every suggestion.
I have a few currently but wondered if anyone had a good site they like? I just got my security + certification and I wanted to really keep current
Edit: Thank you so much everyone for your suggestions on sites to check out and aggregators (I started using feedly)!
I’m an early-stage startup founder building a platform focused on secure file transfers with end-to-end encryption. My CTO is deeply experienced in cybersecurity, but as someone who isn’t technical by nature, I’m eager to keep up and understand the space better.
With how fast things are changing, I’d love to know what sources, newsletters, or communities you recommend for staying informed and continuously learning.
Update: We built a database of incidents inspired by this post: https://breach-hq.com/
I’ve been reading a ton of reports and community discussions about cybersecurity predictions for2026 and honestly Im getting a bit tired of hearing “AI” in every other sentence.
Don’t get me wrong i get why everyones excited. AI is helping in a lot of ways.
But the more I dig into it the more it feels like ai is also creating just as many problems as it’s solving.
Some reports say 13% of companies have already experienced AI related security incidents and 97% of them admitted they dont even have proper ai access controls in place. That’s… not great.
And i feel like most ai security features still seem like slightly improved versions of what we already have.
So I keep asking myself: what ai capability would actually change the game for cybersecurity?
what's your suggestion on this?
I like the articles posted on the news flairs for this subreddit, but are there any specific twitter(X) or youtube channels that you guys prefer?
I'd like to setup a few pages I can open first thing in the morning and scan for anything new and I was wondering what some of you currently do? At the moment I check our internal systems and reports, bleeping computer, this sub and hacking news. Am I missing any good or interesting places?
Twitter. Some members of the Infosec community are pretty insufferable at times, but still the best place if you follow decent accounts
My lecturers were like keep up with the news I ended up just listening to risky Business which is a great cyber security podcast which goes over the news and has interviews with vendors promoting products. As a student it's how I learner about okta identity aware proxies thikst canary and what's happening in the industry I definitely recommend and more interesting than reading a bunch of articles. https://risky.biz/
I am always looking to add new feeds to my RSS reader, so which feeds or websites do you use for cybersecurity news?
What would you recommend or suggest as the best source for the most current and relevant defensive Cybersecurity News? There are a number of them. Lately, I've been receiving securityweek.com in my inbox and reviewing those headlines. Krebs has always been my go to for more adversarial insight and information. I'm looking for latest zero day/vulnerability information, ransomware attacks, recent breach notifications. Would be nice to receive some of this information via a Slack alert if such exists. I"m a Director level.
Thank you!
Where is everyone getting their news nowadays ?
What platform do guys use to keep up with cyber security news and updates?
What are the best sources to skim through on a day to day to understand things ranging from new and emerging threats, new products and developments, regulations, and really anything that can effect the cybersecurity landscape if you work for a vendor?
