All avenues of attack will continue to see growth, whaling and spear phishing are on the rise as well, so are API attacks, SSL/TLS stripping attacks and a whole slew of appsec issues as you mention as well. What’s worse is 2022 is the pivot year where small orgs and businesses are being specifically targeted by enemy nation state actors. Think small government owned electric and water subsidies etc. 2024 will hopefully be the year bean counters realize security is not an investment it’s a necessity to protect all of your other investments.
