Cyclic item cables + barrels?

Hi!
I may have found either a bug, or something that I do not understand. I have a tree farm, which works perfectly, and I collect everything into a single chest. Now, the chest in question has a Cyclic Item extractor attached to it, and a bunch of cables which run into different barrels.
However, for some reason it doesn't want to put items into the barrels, but if I attach a chest to the cable system, it immediatly puts the items there.
Is there any special thing required to store items into the barrels, or is this a bug?
Forgot to mention, I am using Sky factory 4.

So I am playing Sky Factory 4 and am trying to use Cyclic fluid cables to automate my lava gen. Now I'm trying to prevent the cables from connecting to each other, but seem unable to 'wrench' them using any of the hammers/wrenches included in the pack. I know its possible as I have done it before,

I just for the life of me, cannot remember how I did it....
Cyclic cables cannot blacklist, they just take all of the items. Just spent two hours plus trying to set them up and concluded they don't work.
The Item Exractors for clarification, becuase they "can be filtered".
Cyclic cables are trash, dont waste your time.
So I've just seen the item cables from the cyclic mod in creative mode, but I can't see it on JEI. How do I get them on survival?
So, im trying to do an automated autocrafter station with al the trees, but, when I add items to the cyclic item extraction whitelist, it just ignore it and still let it pass other items.
What are the power cable options in this pack that people are using?

Cyclic cables just straight stop working. So those are no good.

Mekanism cables are disabled for some silly reason.

There's no Ender I/O

Cannot attach flux points to everything (or can I?)

Thermal ducts are limited to about 5k rf/t unless you want to deal with needlessly convoluted recipes due to not having the fluid transfer machine thing. Trying to do everything with cryostabilized ducts feels like a nightmare.

Integrated Dynamics requires exporters on every device and does not allow more than one thing to interact with that face (making it a nightmare when dealing with mekanism) there also seems to be a power transfer limit well below the 4-5m rf/t that is expected at endgame.

Don't know how xnet power works, but imagine that would be a nightmare if you aren't already using xnet for handling items.
Any other reasonable alternatives?
I'm using cyclic item cables for the first time as this pack has no early game alternatives, and at my AFK dye farm they keep taking sand from the input chest despite non of the barrels being filled with dyed water.
How big is their internal inventory, and is there a way to force them to only extract items if they have an inventory to export into?
