Upon booting up the PC the motherboard's Q-Code read out cycles though each Q-Code and gets stuck on d6; no console output devices are found. This is confirmed by the white LED illuminated below the Q-Code read out indicating a VGA error. Given the current GPU market, I am trying to use the integrated graphics on board the 12700K until I can get my hands on a 3080 FE or 3070 Ti FE.

Sorry to resurrect an old post...having this same issue on Asus z790 Hero. I have removed and reseated every power cable (24 pin, 12 pin, 8 pins - all of them)... I have uninstalled the gpu and tried ONLY onboard VGA... I've used 2 different DDR5 RAM kits... I've reseated the GPU multiple times and its snug in the socket. I had just installed an EK waterblock on my Gigabyte 4090 - and everything fired up without issue last night. I did notice a weird temporary black screen flicker at pne point when I was running some benches and checking CPU and GPU temps. Everything was working perfectly fine - shut down my PC last night and went to bed. This morning no boot, D6 qcode. Tried every step above, including disengaging the GPU entirely and not even having it hooked up.... I'm thinking its the motherboard. The CPU is a brand new 13900KS that just came in yesterday and was working last night. I can't imagine the cpu is the issue.... most likely motherboard. Super disappointed to have to break my loop down onelce again today and swap to another motherboard... hopefully Microcenter has some decent option in stock.

Well I had a D6 issue with a build today, tested a different gpu, same code d6, so in the end I tested a different cpu and it booted fine, mobo was a Darkhero VIII, it all happened after a driver update restart :(

If you can exchange the board or get store credit, ask for it, as the card is incompatible with your motherboard's PCIE card slots. Your motherboard is PCI Express 3.0, and the video card is Bus Standard PCI Express 2.0 · I know you might be using the onboard graphics now, but I just wanted you to check a few things in the BIOS as well. From the motherboard manual, if you can, try and fit your video card to PCI1 (that is the 3rd from the bottom). If you can make it fit, change the BIOS settings as listed, but I don't think it will fit without modding your case on the back. · Primary Graphics Adapter · * This allows you to select [Onboard], [PCI] or [PCI Express] as the boot graphics adapter priority. The default value is [PCI Express]. Set this to [PCI]. · Render Standby · * Use this to enable or disable Render Standby by Internal Graphics Device. The default value is [Enabled].
