Ducted under floor residential system, 8 zone controller and 11 outlets. We have been having an E3 error for nearly a year: “E3: Fault Code E3: Actuation of high pressure switch (HPS).”
The installation company has been very responsive, but have not fixed the issue even though they have replaced almost everything:
-control board -intake duct -high pressure switch -high pressure sensor -second intake was added to a different part of the house -completely drained and replaced refrigerant multiple times
The only common cause is when we have a cold night, not necessarily freezing cold but below 40 F / 5c. Doesn’t seem to happen as frequently on mild nights.
Has anyone experienced something like this? What would be left to even replace? I am equally annoyed and curious to know what is actually causing it!

Airflow before charge... Sizing of system(s) involved would be a helpful detail, as well as exact airflows of each zone, etc... (What I'm getting at is, you need a different contractor who will actually determine if the zone sizes are compatible with the unit sizes) High pressure faults are rarely because of high pressure switches, sensors, or circuit boards...

September 9, 2023My Daikin brc1d52 constantly shows E3 error and shutdown, technician says i have to turn it off completely for 24h, so the auto-test resets, is it true ?
Looking it up the E3 code seems to be high pressure so that wouldn't even make sense if you were leaking refrigerant your outdoor coil Maybe dirty your fan could be dropping out but either way I don't think turning it off for 24 hours is going to make a difference More on reddit.com
