June 26, 2023 - I know it’s extra, but in a show with some legitimately morally bankrupt people, I hate Daniel the most.

r/euphoria on Reddit: The Comment Section of this Video of Cassie and Daniel is TERRIFYING!!!
July 19, 2023 -

I ran into this clip (https://youtu.be/XqPf4ldKfkA?feature=shared) of the show's skeeziest character during his most infamous moment.

If you scroll down into the comments, there are SEVERAL hyping him up for "giving Cassie a reality check" (verbally abusing her after she said "no") and trying to justify it, even some incel-types calling him "ice-cold," and "chad" or that Cassie is from and was returned to "the streets."

The 2 main excuses they make for Daniel are just as vile:

"She led him on sexually and then said no to him going further:" As if Women don't have the RIGHT to revoke their consent to sex. IT DOES NOT MATTER that she previously wanted to and now she doesn't. A woman saying no to a man is NO EXCUSE for that man to turn around and abuse her! Pick up your wounded pride and blue balls, shut up and GO HOME!

"She deserved it because she was cheating on McKay by flirting with Daniel:" This is very similar to a common excuse used to victim-blame women who are victims of S.A.; that their romantic/sexual past or present is a valid reason to abuse her. It DOES NOT MATTER what her past or present is; anyone you want to have sex with is deserving of respect and decency and has the right to say no afterwards.

I wanted to make this post, because to me this feels BIGGER than Cassie and Euphoria. It shows how normalized and widespread misogyny and male entitlement to women's bodies are in society, especially when said women are perceived as "slutty."

Sickening.

r/euphoria on Reddit: Daniel and Cassie
December 9, 2018 -

Let me start by saying that I knew Daniel was filth right from the very beginning. He never respected Cassie. He saw an extremely beautiful girl who he thought would give it up without commitment. He never looked at her like a girl he was really interested in. He was lusting after her since 1x02 at the prep rally. I don't understand how Cassie couldn't see it. It was blatantly obvious to me.

When that low life, funny looking bastard had the audacity to ask Cassie who the hell did she think she is? I literally almost jumped through the television set. What she is is out of his fucking league. Who she is is a human being that deserves to be treated with basic human decency. He should be thankful that she let him taste her because he didn't deserve it.

Cassie has a good man and she's doing everything she can to mess things up. I hope she really learned her lesson. McKay is not perfect, but he really loves her. I hope she realizes that now.

r/euphoria on Reddit: Daniel is a creepy POS, and I am afraid for Cassie.
March 2, 2018 -

I see so many people wanting Cassie to get with Daniel so badly and it is really perplexing me. While we have not gotten to deep into his character we have been given glimpses into what kind of guy that he is and in my opinion Daniel is very dangerous.

  • I know it was middle school, but the way he handled the Kat situation, did not have the guts to write the note himself telling her he was dumping him, he had another girl write it and give it to her.

  • The Pep rally scene, he is just staring down Cassie with a creepy look.

  • At the carnival Cassie is clearly on something, yet do that does not stop him from taking advantage of the situation and making out with her, and if she had not snapped out of it I dont think he would have stopped there. What kinda good guy does something like that

  • In the latest episode the first time he sees Cassie what does he do, he grabs her and kisses her, no Hi, no hey could we talk about the other night it just straight to getting physical.

  • Then after that Cassie clearly states she has a boyfriend and is in a relationship and she wants to respect that and dont tell anyone about what happen with them. The first thing out of his mouth if he was the good guy people think he is should have been, OK I respect that I misread the situation, you dont have to worry, but nope his response was I wont tell if we can hang out more.

Any guy who would actively pursue a girl with a boyfriend is a piece of shit that obviously does not respect or care for her in anyway, I say this as a guy myself. The guy clearly does not give a shit about Cassie beyond the physical aspect, he has no interest in getting to know her as a person. How much do you want to bet that he has seen her alleged sextape and that is why he has such an interest. I dont have any proof but I have a bad feeling about this situation and I think Daniel is going to end up hurting Cassie bad. With the interactions he has had with Cassie I think if he get a chance again he will try to take full advantage and he does not seem like the type that is going to take Stop or No for an answer.

r/euphoria on Reddit: DANIEL and KAT
September 20, 2018 -

Does anyone else realize Daniel (Cassie's side piece) is the little boy that dumped young Kat in Episode 3?? At the end of this last episode, they lock eyes when Kat was re-applying her lipstick and it looked like they were going to end up hooking up. That is going to be Kat's get-back at him for dumping her when she was 11. I thought it was funny how Kat made a dig at Daniel at the party about his costume saying, "Ted Bundy was taller...." and he gets all butt hurt. That right there told me there was a history between those two.

I LOVE THIS PLOT TWIST!

February 9, 2021 - They did him dirty in Euphoria lol ... That guy was projecting his own issues. He has been shallow since he was a kid and only sees women as objects. He is that way and thinks everyone else are the same. ... This was so painful. ... I feel like if they do, they’ll have Nate pull a Tyler on him. Although Daniel is a much bigger asshole then Tyler (and Tyler’s situation is so fucked up and I really feel for him).

May 31, 2021 - It’s also obvious that Daniel just said this because he was angry about being rejected. This was literally just a cruel temper tantrum because he was angry that he couldn’t get what he wanted from Cassie. He even tried pulling the “my boner hurts :(“ card!
