There isn’t just one British Racing Green. There’s many hues. Although to me, that Jag represents BRG way more than that VW. As you kind of pointed out, this Wiki page sums everything up. Edit: I’ve always enjoyed this piece that Top Gear did on the origin of British Racing Green many years ago.
