I have a Dark Rock 4 Pro on my 5800X3D right now, I understand it is AM5 compatible.

Anyone know the thermal difference between the Phantom Spirit SE/Peerless vs Dark Rock 4 Pro? Will it be that much worse than a new Thermalright cooler?

I'm guessing it'll be fine?

I see some complaints on 7800X3Ds about bad temps with DR4Pro, my 5800X3D runs hot without PBO -30 all core, but I also have a poor cooling case. with PBO -30 I am 69C-85C depending on the game.

So I'm considering buying the Be Quiet Dark Rock Pro 4 and change my wraith prism cooler because the noise it makes is a little annoying sometimes. However i want to use it for my next upgrade let's say in 5 years but it may not be compatible with Am5. Should I wait for Am5 to launch and then buy a cooler or buy the dark rock 4 pro now?

I am building a new pc, with a 9800x3d CPU.

I want to make it as quiet as possible, where I am using Silent Wing 4 case fans.

I wanted to get the Dark Rock Pro 5, as its performance and noise levels seems to be better than anything other air cooler.

I have found some comments, where people state that the heat pipes are placed such as to be better suited for Intel CPU, and that the placement of the pipes is not ideal for AM5 CPU.

Does anyone know if this issue is real, or if it is just speculation?

If this issue is real, then which other cooler would you recommend? I am considering the Noctua D15 as an alternative, just not sure which version.

As the title says, I need to move my bequiet Dark Rock Pro 4 from my old i5-8600k on a z370 to a 7600x on a b650. I read that the mounting bracket for AM4 is compatible with the AM5, however I no longer have the box and have lost those mounting brackets that came with it.

Where can I get these brackets without having to buy a new cooler alltogether? I live in Romania if that helps, couldn't find any through a quick Google research.

What the title asks! do I need to get a new bracket or something, or do I already have everything I need?

Hi. I just finished building myself a new gaming Pc. After mounting the massive cooler it felt like i havent completly tighten down the screws. So i completely loose them and screwed down again. I have not liften up the cooler at all. It sat allways on the cpu (AM5) during the screwing.

So my question is. Will loosing screws from a cooler affect the thermal paste in any way?

Sorry if my question is dumb and for my bad english. I dont have more thermal paste. Haha.

Are the AMD Mounting Brackets of any other models compatible with the Dark Rock Pro 5?

I'm a bit puzzled about that. Because what I understand is "AM4 compatible coolers are AM5 compatible... but not always." And no need to buy a cooler, could become for me a tie-breaker between i7-12700 and AM5 build.

This will be my first build, so I'm pretty unsure of my picks, especially the motherboard. I used PCPartsPicker's suggestions on several components, but I don't know how reliable those are.

I'm looking to play AAA games at 1440p with good frame rates. Any feedback appreciated!

I'm currently running a 5600x/ Msi X570 Unify/ 16gb Corsair LPX 3600mhz /RTX 3070.

I want to upgrade to 9600x/ B850/ DDR5 so I can upgrade to a 50 series card later in the year.

I'm cooling the CPU with a BeQuiet Dark Rock Pro 4. From what I understand, the AM5 bracket is the same as AM4, so I want to keep my air-cooler as it's cooling just fine.

My concern is DDR5 ram clearance for the air cooler. Is anyone running a Dark Rock Pro 4 with DDR5? What ram are you using?

Greetings from Norway. I am building a new PC after my last 2016 build is finally struggling to play Elden Ring. I wanted to build for the new AM5, I primarily play Grand Strategy Games that are limited by single-threaded performance and some of the most popular AAA titles, in addition to hosting Stellaris and Terraria occasionally. My primary monitor is 1080p 120Hz, and secondary 1080p 60Hz, but I might upgrade in the future there as well.

My budget is around 2500 euros.

Mostly looking for some final comments to ensure that my build makes sense and isn't bottlenecked somewhere.

I have a ryzen 7 3700x but since i don't have the best rn it gets a bit hot, life +70c just while browsing or sometimes idle and the fan does too much noise, so i intend to get a cpu cooler good enough for a few years even after i upgrade to another cpu like a ryzen 9 or something, do you guys think this one is good enough for that?
