I know I should do my kitchen the way I want regardless of trends or outside opinions but I am looking to see if people think this will stick around or if it looks tacky. Navy blue had a very brief moment in interiors a few years ago and I can’t stand how it looks now even though I thought it looked cool at the time.

I typically prefer a pretty conservative and simple style, I like to look back at pictures and not have that "what were we thinking?" moment. But I love sage cabinets in kitchens. I would like to paint mine and get a white marble counter top.
Is it too trendy? Will it be really weird in 5 years and I'll regret the work it takes to paint them?

I'll say this... there will always be something that you look back and go "what were we thinking" but that doesn't mean you shouldn't do it now. It may mean you're sick of them in 2 years and refinish them a different color next time. It's entirely possible you find The Color and you don't change your cabinets for 20 years.
