Should I buy a Daskeyboard 4 professional?
I like my DK4. I've had it for years but put it up 2 years ago when I got a Ducky Shine 7. Both boards have blue switches and provide a similar experience. I switched back to the DK4 last week because the shine was having problems being recognized and wouldn't wake my Mac up after it went to sleep. It turned out the cable was bad on the shine but I realized I actually liked the DK4 better. The USB ports on the back of the DK4 gave me a place to plug my headset and stream deck that was more convenient than plugging them into my Mac and the volume wheel was more useful than the RGB LEDs or Macro functions of the Ducky. The cable on the DK4 is definitely not going bad any time soon like the ducky did. After I switched back to the DK4, I realized the only thing I didn't care for was the keycaps. The ducky was backlit and easier to see in my work environment which can be dark at times. I was going to get a new cable and go back to the ducky but ran across a nice PBT keycap set that had a color scheme I liked and would be easy to see even in the dark. It made a big difference for me so I decided to stay with the DK4. Not only were the new keys easier to see but the texture of the keycaps feel better than the stock ones. If I were getting a new keyboard today, I wouldn't hesitate to get the DK4 again though I would look for a better keycap set that I liked from the beginning. More on reddit.com

I'd return it and look elsewhere. Things like this can happen, just like a rubber dome keyboard can arrive malfunctioning too. Cherry switches are generally reliable, so I wouldn't worry about it happening twice. To be honest Das is a very meh brand. I recommend checking out Candykeys and MyKeyboard, two good European stores with better selection than Amazon. Leopold boards have perhaps the best build quality for the price but no bells and whistles. More on reddit.com

Das are ok. If you are looking for full size but can use a 96%/1800 layout, the Leopold fc990m is solid and a fun board. Also look at the new gmmk2 96%. One of my coworkers got one of the 65% units to test, it sounds nice and those are very easily modded.
