I recently went interviewing again and accepted an offer. All of the places I was interviewing with were offering around the same salary.
For data engineering - not lead - they were all $175k to about $190k. And leads were $190k-$230k.
These aren’t FAANG. They were all completely remote. It was 2 unicorn start up, 1 series C start up and 1 known tech consulting group.
When I search online I’m seeing the average is $130k. Are these numbers just not caught up to this new market/inflation?
