For actual remote job data entry, I’ve had the best⁤ luck going through big staffing agencies such as Kelly, Robert Half, Randstad, and filtering for remote + temporary/part-time, they at least vet the clients and you’re on payroll, not wiring money to some rando on Telegram. All the survey/affiliate stuff is fine as extra, but I treat it like pocket money; for example I mess around with Mistplay on my phone when I’m on hold or watching TV and just roll the points into Amazon gift⁤ cards to cover little work from home things like cables, notebooks, etc., not as anything close to real income. r/remotework on Reddit: Best Remote Data Entry Jobs from Home (No Experience, Part-Time) in 2025 – Legit Please?
May 6, 2025 -

Hi guys

I’m searching for legit remote data entry jobs that are part-time and require no experience. I've come across many listings, but it's hard to tell what's trustworthy.

I'm looking for something flexible that I can do from home without getting scammed or underpaid. If you’ve done this kind of work recently or know of any reliable platforms or companies hiring beginners, please share your experience. Also open to similar entry-level remote roles. Just want to get started with something real and steady. Thanks in advance!

Edit: Just wanted to share my experience, I tried a lot of things, and here’s what actually worked for me.

I used EliteSurveySites to find high paying survey panels, read their tips, and signed up for a few panels they recommended. At first, I barely made anything, just a few cents here and there. But after a couple of months, things picked up. Now I’m making over $1500 a month with a mix of BrandedSurveys, SurveyJunkie, and others.

I also started doing simple writing gigs like captions for Instagram and LinkedIn, and i make around $200-$300 per month from this.

I started posting affiliate content in pet forums, which brings in around $100–$150 from last month, but it seems the number of clicks are growing day by day. So, I’m expecting more from this.

Hope this helps. I'll update this post if I come across anything else worth sharing.

August 9, 2025 - Upwork was probably the easiest to set up a profile on, especially for beginners, and you can filter for basic jobs like typing, transcribing, or spreadsheet entries. The work isn’t glamorous or super high paying at first (think ₹5,000-₹25,000 per month for beginners), but it’s a decent starting point if you just want something simple and remote. ... I was in the same boat a few months ago after working as a short term HR Assistant at a supermarket and wanting to shift gears into something online. I didn’t have much experience apart from that, so I went for entry level data entry positions.

How common are remote data entry jobs? Do I have a chance? : r/RemoteJobs
January 19, 2025 - remote data entry jobs 100% exist but in my experience its not that glamorous of pay and there's not alot of room to grow, but if you're not that picky with either of those things go for it. I've been hired for four remote data entry jobs in the last two years, telecommuincations, medical, bookkeeping and a sober living company of all things. Big companies hire third parties to do their work, idk if that helps but you could look up who such-and-such contract out to and find jobs from there.

Been looking for some casual or part time remote work. I do have an extensive educational background but not necessarily specific to data entry. I’ve recently seen advertised data entry positions for FedEx, Amazon, Walmart, cvs, etc and am considering applying but they sound too good to be true.

Anyone know if they are legit? Most are offering full or part time entry level positions making between $20-40/hr.

I’m a stay at home parent but looking to supplement my income when the kids are in bed or napping and wondering if I should pursue these applications or if I’m wasting my time?

July 7, 2025 -

Hey everyone,

I’m based in the US and really want to find a part-time, work-from-home job that doesn’t require any prior experience or a degree. Every listing I’ve seen on LinkedIn and Indeed seems to ask for 2+ years of experience or some specific credential I don’t have, and it's frustrating.

I’m tired of stumbling on scam sites. Can anyone give me a legit platform for finding and applying to remote jobs?

I’m open to anything flexible: customer support, data entry, content moderation, virtual assistant work, or even simple typing jobs.

Also, has anyone landed a beginner-friendly remote role recently? Any companies or specific tips would be hugely appreciated too.

Thanks in advance :)

My anxiety with speaking to people on the phone doing customer service is overwhelming. I'm looking for a data entry job that can be done remotely with little to no supervision. Just give me the work and let me finish it within limit.

Hey everyone,

I'm a college student looking to pick up some remote, task-based side gigs — something flexible that I can manage alongside my studies. I'm specifically looking for jobs like data entry, content moderation, or any similar tasks that don't require prior experience.

A few things I'm looking for:

Task-based payment (not hourly or weekly)

Fully remote

Beginner-friendly — I'm a fast learner and can follow instructions well

Something I can do in my own time, not on a fixed schedule but can stick to a deadlines

Can you all help me with that. Thanks in advance

Hey, I'm typing this on a whim on my phone so I'm sorry if it looks weird and isn't very well thought through.

Lately, I've been sifting through job postings on Linkedin and Indeed for remote data entry positions, I've also started looking at AI development projects. I've been at this for about a month I think. After spending this much time on it, I see patterns that indicate a post is scam or at least fishy.

More and more I feel like everything I see is a scam when it comes to data entry. It's kind of disheartening and makes me feel like my efforts don't mean anything. I'm sorry to be such a downer, but that is how I've felt recently. I know job hunting is a process but I've never encountered a field such as this, filled with people trying to take advantage of those who really need remote work.

All of this to say, does anyone actually have a remote data entry job who would be willing to share your experience getting said job? How did you do it? I've seen a lot of people mention the website Flexjobs, is it really helpful? I'm wondering if the price to enter would be worth it in the end, if I can find real jobs.

Edit: Thank you all for your responses, it's given me a better idea of how to search for remote work online. Please do continue sharing if you have more thoughts/experiences. Also, best of luck to anyone in my position as well.

So to explain my current situation, i'm trying to move out of my parents house but no job i have so far would ever get me into a place around jax. Since i have experience with Retail, Fast Food, and Warehouse would i be able to apply at all? I keep seeing people asking for people who already have experience and have x degree so idk if it's still okay to apply or not?

I'm looking for a job that I could do remotely. I have disabilities that make working in person not really feasible right now. I've also never had a job before and I'm 19. Disability got denied twice, so no luck on that. I am working with vocational rehab, but they are more focused on me getting a custom wheelchair before helping me get a job. I need something urgently. I've never had a job before and therefore don't really have any experience in anything. I can work a computer, but I don't have too much experience in things like Excel. I have used Excel before and I'm positive I could figure it out, it's just not current knowledge I have.

Tried searching on Indeed, tried looking up data entry jobs, can't find a single legit one. Not necessarily looking for a legit job application, just some job titles that might work for me.

I'm pretty tech savvy, but I do not know coding or anything extensive like that. I have trouble understanding people on the phone, so I would not like a job that requires me to call a bunch of people, and video calls won't work (right now) as I don't have a camera on my computer. I don't really know what skills I have. I mean I'm a pretty emotionally intelligent person, but I don't think that will get me anywhere. Nobody cares if I have a special interest in psychology. I am good at organizing, communicating, and that's about it. Feel free to ask any questions.
