1)all the languages you learn are not importantl for placements and if important then not important in your daily life job (real application problems ) 2) certificates which are hyped up or underhyped is useless in placement and no one cares you have that or not coz no have that much time to know all this shit about you ....but this will be helpful in knowing the services and used of that respective field in which u are taking certified but don't connect it to placement and all that stuff ..it's only useful for learning stuff and be relevant about ....that's it 3) discover no one can say which projects you like or not ....it's just exploring no one teaching and spoonfeeds you ...it must be understanded by you whether you choose right or wrong path 4) there are some websites which they connect with industrialist or t ech experts you can reach out with them Thanks Have a happy life stay safe and healthy More on reddit.com

I was in the same boat a while back, trying to figure out the best way to learn Python and Data Science. After trying a bunch of different courses, here’s what worked best for me: I started with Automate the Boring Stuff with Python, which was great for getting comfortable with Python basics. Then, I took Jose Portilla’s Python for Data Science & ML Bootcamp on Udemy, which helped bridge the gap between Python and real-world Data Science applications.For more structured learning, I joined the Logicmojo Data Science classes and it really helped me get hands-on experience with real-world projects, SQL, and ML models. Alongside that, I also followed Andrew Ng’s Machine Learning course on Coursera, which is a must for understanding ML fundamentals. Once I had the basics down, I started practicing on Kaggle that’s where I really learned how to apply my knowledge with real datasets. If you r serious about Data Science, I’d highly recommend focusing on hands on projects and working with real-world datasets rather than just watching tutorials. These projects actually add value to your resume. I have created my GitHub also with projects I learned. Interviewer can directly see your Github, it creates a good impression about your work experience in data science. In short : Start with Python basics (Automate the Boring Stuff), take a solid Data Science course and get your hands dirty with Kaggle. Learning by doing makes all the difference. More on reddit.com

Hi everyone,
I’m currently in my third semester at a tier 3 college. I came across the Complete Machine Learning & Data Science Program by GeeksforGeeks and was wondering if anyone here has taken it. Is it worth the investment, especially for someone looking to build a solid foundation and land a good job right out of college?
I would appreciate some guidance on how to effectively learn programming and work on projects that would help me stand out. I know basic Python (which I learned in school but haven’t practiced much) and C programming (which I’m currently studying in college).
Also looking for advice on:

Programming skills in demand: Which programming languages and technologies should I focus on to stay relevant and competitive?

Learning platforms with certificates: Any good platforms you’d recommend for learning programming with certifications that hold weight in the industry?

Projects and resources: What types of projects should I work on to build a strong portfolio? Any resources you’d suggest for a beginner?

Networking and mentorship: How can I connect with experienced professionals or like-minded peers? I’m the first in my family pursuing something like this, so I don’t have anyone to guide me. Any tips on finding mentors or communities that could help?
