Teacher described my son as “dazed”— what does this look like in the classroom?
If I use this term, the student is awake but doesn't appear engaged in the lesson. They're staring at nothing or something without really paying attention to it. They are slow to realize they're being addressed, may seem startled that I'm talking to them and then have no idea what's been going on. Basically, it's daydreaming to me. But if that's what your son's teacher said, it would not be inappropriate to follow up with them and ask this same question of them. More on reddit.com
