So uhh.. anyone here know how to convert db15 to usb? I found this old throttle the other day and now im trying to figure out how to use it on a modern device (if its still possible)
Go to r/HotasDIY for advice. It depends on what your throttle is, but it likely requires a new electronics board. For example an Ardiuno Pro Micro, a Teensy board, or a Leo Bodnar project board. There are gameport to USB adapters, but they do not work with most old throttles, i.e. Thrustmaster Attack Throttle, Suncom F-15E SFS. For the latter you can buy the RealSimulator FUSBA . This seems like a cool project. We recently converted a DB-15 PC gamepad to an Atari style joystick gamepad and we'll be releasing a video of it soon on our channel, so this type of conversion is definitely something within the realm of possibility.
Of course you'll need some kind of adapter like you're trying to build, if you're not wanting to modify the USB controllers.
Sounds like a cool project, hope you get it working.
