We sell Berkeley almost exclusively and a 0.50 HP 10 GPM Berkeley MS-series is what, if you hired me to do the work, I would install in your well. Installed at ~80’ will be right in the sweet spot of the pump curve. The part number is B10P4MS05231 for the 3-wire motor. With that being said, Gould’s, Flint & Walling, Franklin Electric’s sub brands (FPS, Schaefer, J-class), Grundfos (I don’t really like their 4” pumps but the 3” SQE with the CU301 constant pressure controller are pretty sweet) are all very solid options too. Make sure your pressure tank is sized properly for the output of your pump. For something in the 8-12 GPM range you’ll need a 35-gallon or larger tank. I recommend Flexcon’s WR and FL series or Amtrol’s WX series. More on reddit.com

Grufundos makes a worth while/quality pump in the high price range. Not sure where they are made but they are a solid name in the pump industry. Otherwise any submersible dc pump that meets your head/height requirements should work. I faced this same problem 5 years ago and have been running a $100 ecoflow. (I have about half the height as you though). And at that price, I just keep an extra on hand and monitor the cistern level. If I do notice any problems, I have some time to deal with it. If you can manage to figure out if a grundfos SQ 3” pump works for your water usage I’d go down that road. Soft start pump. Doesn’t weigh a ton. Stainless steel impellers and computer driven. The SQE with a box can give you constant pressure as well. More on reddit.com
