very close, basically they all perform similarly but the deepcool is the loudest and coolest, d15 is middle of the pack, be quiet is quietest and hottest mind you these are all within like 1-2 degress celsius and 1-2 dba so if you want bang ofr buck buy the chepaest one or the one you like the look of I'd go with noctua just for the support/warranty over the other two tbh (free adapters and longest warranty) Answer from Some_Derpy_Pineapple on reddit.com

Comparison Deepcool Assassin IV vs Assassin III - E-Catalog
The Assassin IV offers better cooling performance and quiet operation thanks to its low noise mode, making it more appealing to users seeking a balance between performance and noise level.

r/buildapc on Reddit: Noctua NH-D15 vs be quiet! Dark Rock 4 vs DEEPCOOL Assassin III
May 16, 2020 -

the noctua is 140$ (cad) be quiet is 130$ and deepcool is 120$

My build: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/GDckPn

I want to do some overclocking so performance would be the most important. The stock wraith stealth isn't keeping up.

Mega Size Air Cooler: Deepcool Assassin IV CPU Cooler Review & Benchmarks
Weird fan whine = instant nope for me. Steve mentions it in the video but that's why Noctua still gets my business. I know for a fact that when I buy one of their product I won't get some weird resonance at a specific rpm range, or any kind of whine. It's something that kinda drives me nuts, so many fans/products claim silent operation but then you have some weird noise way more annoying than a fan going at 100% drilling into your head. It's something that should absolutely be tested for and it seems that only Noctua do their homework on this one. I was really interested in this cooler but that's just not something I'm willing to deal with in any product. More on reddit.com

You can, it clips in place on the regular IV. It isn't as clean looking as the S without the fan, but you can remove it More on reddit.com

DEEPCOOL Assassin III vs. Dark Rock Pro 4 vs. Noctua NH-D15 Chromax Black - Games, Gaming and Hardware - World of Warcraft Forums
January 11, 2021 - For my future 11th gen Intel/4th gen Ryzen 8 or 12 core CPU. Likely the i7-1170k or Ryzen 7 5800/5900x. Looking to secure less-return sensitive parts before they get harder to acquire. So I figure a cooler is an easy bet…

CPU Coolers, PC Cooling Fans & CPU Liquid Coolers | B&H
Most packaged CPUs include not only 120mm computer fans, but also heat sinks to keep them cool. Separate cooling fans are available, and typically plug into the motherboards using 4-pin connectors. A heat sink is made of metal that absorbs and conducts heat, drawing it away from the processor and working with the fan to keep the temperature down.

July 21, 2023 - That's a newly introduced US$ 100 cooler not doing any better than a three year old US$ 35–40 cooler which is someplace between n - 1 and n - 3 gen, depending on how exactly one counts iterations. Other tests I've looked through have put the Assassin IV being about as capable as the NH-D15 and not necessarily an improvement from the Assassin III. Not too surprising given the FK120's blade design and the choice of pull operation—doesn't seem like DeepCool learnt from the P12, which is odd, though 3RSYS's Silence GI 120 ARGB is even closer to the P12 blade design.

November 3, 2023 - The “quiet” setting dropped RPM average between the two to 1287RPM and the noise level from 44dBA to 37.5dBA at 20” distance in a noise floor of 26dBA. That’s a big drop in noise levels. The result was a 2-degree increase, landing it between the quieter FUMA 2 and other DeepCool solutions, like the AK620 and Assassin III.
