r/buildapc on Reddit: Cooler for 5800x3d
March 2, 2023 -

Hello, I am choosing a cooler for my 5800x3d, because it is getting to 90 degree under my tiny cooler, and I have found 4 options.

  1. Be quiet dark rock pro 4

  2. Noctua nh-d15

  3. Be quiet silent loop 2 240mm

  4. Deepcool lt 520

They cost about the same, but I need to buy used coolers and new water cooling systems. Also, I am afraid of water cooling, because it may be dangerous for my PC. What would you suggest?

r/buildapc on Reddit: DeepCool LT520 adequate for 7800X3D?
September 18, 2023 -

Hi all,

I am currently getting a quote from a pc supply store for a build I have finalised. The staff member I am in contact with advised me that,

“Upon reviewing, we would need to change the CPU Cooler to at least a 280mm radiator or a 360. The 7800X3D is power hungry and can go up to higher temps when boosting and causes thermal throttling if the cooler isn't sufficient.”

He then went on to suggest either a LT720 or a AK620 digital. My research seems to show that the LT520 would be fine but this has now put doubt in my mind. I initially thought it was upselling but the AK620 is cheaper. As I have a fractal north case the LT720 would have to go on the front and change my build so I don’t think I want to go down the route. My other option that kinda works aesthetically is an assassin IV but the 520 would work better.

What are people’s thoughts?

September 10, 2023 -

Had a bunch of Corsair fans and the LCD cooler, got absolutely sick of the cable mess and decided to get rid of it. Going to be switching to some unifans and a new cooler. Thinking either air cooling for the simplicity, but this liquid cooler caught my eye since it has the same infinity mirror vibe that the fans I’m getting have. Any thoughts on it?

DeepCool LT520 240mm AIO Review: Worth It? - Tech4Gamers
DeepCool LT520
DeepCool has released a new Mirror Infinity series AIOs named LT. They have released 240mm and 360mm versions. Here is a full review of it. Earlier, we tested the LS720 coolers from the DeepCool. This time, we are testing the LT520 cooler. The 520 in the naming convention is for the 240mm size and 720 is for the 360mm size. Both series of coolers are based on DeepCool's fourth-generation pump and FC/FK series fans. Let's dive into the review. r/pcmasterrace on Reddit: Ryzen 7 5800x3D High Temps with AIO
May 5, 2023 -

I know this cpu works way more hotter than others. But i don't know. I have DeepCool LS520. At %85 fan speed BF2042 1440p Ultra 78-81C, at %100 fan speed OCCT and Prime95 test 90.5C with throttling. Clock speeds down to 4.2GHz. Ambient temp is 27-28C. Is this normal? I have good air flow my RTX 3080 is max 59C in games. Do you think is this normal? I've used MX-6.

r/buildapc on Reddit: Usage of other fans with deepcool LS520
December 28, 2022 -

Hey, I recently built a new PC using the deepcool LS520 to manage cooling a ryzen 7 5800x3d (cause its hot af), but the stock fans with it are attrociously loud, I picked up some bequiet PWM fans to use with it instead but I'm not sure how feasible it is after remembering the odd proprietary cable setup for the LS520 and how it daisy chains from the pump to the fans back to the cable powering everything, and I was wondering if it was possible to just disconnect the daisy chain from the fans and either not connect it to the main cable, or connecting it straight to the main cable without the fans so I can just run the new fans to the motherboard CPU fan header/the fan controller.

Does anyone have experience with using other fans with deepcool products/the LS520? its the only one i've used from them so i'm not sure if other products by them use the same cable structure

April 19, 2023 - Hey there! I recently got a 5800x and then upgraded it to a 5800x3d, I knew these were hot and toasty chips but wasn't expecting that amount of heat even after setting up PBO2 and CO. r/pcmasterrace on Reddit: Need help with ryzen 5800x3d undervolt
March 18, 2023 -

Firstly, I wanna thank everyone for helping me to choose a new cooler. I bought deepcool lt520, which is nice water cooling. I just hope it would not spill all liquid on my gpu soon.

So, what's the problem. I decided to undervolt it, downloaded PBO2 tuner, set everything as shown, and it worked fine, passed all the stress tests (aida64, CoreCycler, prime95), frequency in games is boosting fine. I am just not sure if it is underclocked properly, nothing has really changed for me. Temperatures have gone a little lower, but I am still not sure, if I did everything right.
