Hey I don’t know if this is useful to your question but I am going to be a freshman in mechanical engineering this fall and my school as a part of a scholarship gives us a dell precision 3591, sorry I cant be more specific as I don't know much about the computer myself but at the very least I can say that my university finds them suitable for their engineering students! I’m planning on going into a double degree of Aerospace engineering and Astrophysics undergrad, and am in Year 10. I need a laptop for school as my old one, a really old dell that we’ve had since 2010, has broken down and is no longer usual. I want it to last at least 7 years, and able to withstand CAD software as well as coding and other programs, with a good battery life and display. The university campuses are huge. Would a Dell Precision 3591, with all of the basic specs (the 32GB RAM and 1T SSD to be specific) be worth it? (It’s 3400$ AUD)
