I've owned a Dell Latitude E5570 for some time now, approximately 2020, I've only downloaded software from the official microsoft store and official websites.
I mostly only do artwork on this laptop with the drivers that came with the drawing tablet.
I've never dropped it or damaged it and it's in pretty good physical condition, (I've never opened it, so it's to the eye.) it's never been wet, nor has it been damaged internally from mistake in anyway and I still keep it in the box whenever we move.
My problem is this :
The laptop barely functions anymore, every time I do there's a BIOS malfunction or there's something wrong internally. I always have to reboot it and reinstall the time and current settings.
I've factory resetted the laptop many times in the past in the settings that it was recommended.
Researching about my computer makes me realize, it's not a good one, it overheats a lot and blue screens every minute. Mine doesn't blue screen quite often anymore but it still overheats a lot, I've noticed the laptop damages itself and it's battery. I've done a pre-boot test on my laptop since it's unable to boot.
According to the test the computer ran - -My physical primary battery health is at 22%, I've never had a computer that needed to live on charge only and it started about 2 years after I gotten it, I've never purposely or accidentally left the computer plugged in, this is something I've never had done. -Like normal for these computers, my computer is overheating, yippee! -A concerning part about this, it's claiming my internal hard drive is not installed, like I mentioned previously is that I've never damaged it in any way that would make it so where this would happen. -Good news is, My LCD is good (obviously), my speakers are good, my USB devices are good, my webcam is good, my video card is good, my processor fan (very odd since before it said almost the entire computer was overheating?) is good, my processor is good, my memory is good, and the system management is good.
Other then the specified details I stated, I do not know what's wrong with my laptop. I wouldn't be surprised either if this is normal for these devices.
If this is actually fixable without a lot of money, I'd appreciate it, thank you!
I've been struggling with my laptop over the past year. It's really slow to even turn it on and watch youtube on it. I really don't know why, I only use it for light work (word, chrome, streaming) It has a I5 8th Gen 8GB RAM Windows 10 (not upgradable to 11 but slow way before the 11 was available) 1TB HDD (only has less than 100GB used) I already tried to reset from factory but the problem continues. Is there something I'm missing? Most of the time when it's really slow the Disk or the CPU is 100% usage I already disabled all processes to minimize this, but no good effect at all All of the drivers are up to date and even when I update those, the next time I turn it on it takes even longer to be "usable"
Dell has already announced a Precision 5680 and Precision 5480 for this year and I know it's probably looking into a crystal ball, but are there any information if Dell will bring a successor of the Precision 5570 notebook this year... a 5580?
