They each took a few shortcuts to hit the price goal, but if you are fine with upgrading your own ram or buying a home office monitor for improved screen quality and speaker quality these are all solid. September 21, 2023Is the [Dell G15 5530l] a good choice for gaming?
The Dell G15s maxes the CPU out until thermal throttling, so do expect temperatures near or at 100 degrees Celsius and loud fans. But it does give you the performance, only if you cool it well... Battery life... not the most efficient. One note: I recommend reinstall Windows with a USB flash drive, because Dell loves shoving bloatware into your new system. I personally have a Dell G15 5520 (i7-12700h and RTX 3050 TI), that's why I know about it. More on reddit.com

It’s just less known. There aren’t really anything that is bad about the laptop. I got the g16 and I am impressed with the build quality and performance. I say go for it. These g series weren’t always this cheap, it’s only recently through sales that they dropped in price. Make sure to get the 10% off for signing up in the email list. More on reddit.com

October 4, 2024Dell G15 5530 (2023 edition) anyone?
I have the Dell G15 5530, I had an issue with the CPU fan dying within about 2 weeks of using it but Dell sent me an entirely new unit because of it and the service was good. I also had an HDD error pop up while diagnosing the fan issue but no actual issues with the drive. Besides that the replacement unit has been great and experience with support was better than I anticipated. More on reddit.com

Hi everyone , I wanna ask about the performance of the dell G15 5530 (2023) , is it good ? Have anyone encountered any problems with it ? I've seen some videos on YouTube talking about the GPU dropping to 30w while gaming , I can't say if it's windows 11 issue or not

This laptop presents you excellent performance but coming with some drawback. Firstly its adaptor is huge and approximatelly 1.5kg. İt is difficult to carry especially everyday. Also on my laptop (i5 13450hx rtx4040 g15 5530) dell allienware application is not working therefore ı cant control its fans) so it may be getting hot even if ı am studying on word or pdf)
