Once owned a 7590 with an 8th gen i7 and a GTX 1050ti maxQ in 2019. It was alright for a development device. Decent thing for mobile gaming. Screen however was nothing compared to anything Apple, and trackpad often became loose leading me to intervene (there is a screw underneath trackpad that helps if you get the tension right). I upgraded it to 32GB RAM and a fast NVME SSD. For work I currently use the Latitude 5401, given to me by the company and set up to their VPN. Compared to even the XPS it’s pretty “meh”. It gets the job done but it does run warm. It actually came on while it was in my bag yesterday and when I got to work I had to turn it off and leave it for half an hour to cool down before it would show the cursor in windows again. It was very hot. Didn’t smell great either. For the money Dell charges, I think there are better machines out there. I still prefer MacBooks personally for the price. Build quality is far better, and up until the M1 models, you can run Windows on them too. Screen is superior to anything else you can throw at it in terms of clarity and colour accuracy and while the Intel ones often run warm, I’ve never had one come on while the lid was closed on my way to work and warm itself half to death. Have you tried to download the recovery image from the drivers page? You have to click on details as it’s not the exe. Put that on a USB drive, put it in before turning on the computer and see if it’ll take that image. More on reddit.com
