Answer: 1. Press the power switch. 2. If that doesn’t work, connect the ac adapter & press the power switch. 3. If that doesn’t work, remove the battery & (you guessed it) press the power switch. 4. If that doesn’t work, test the ac adapter & check the power socket in the laptop.

August 19, 2017 - The power button is likely not the cause - the mainboard is likely bad. You can try a reset (unplug, remove or disconnect the battery and hold the power button for 30 sec). Then try powering up again - if it won't, replace the mainboard.
