Hi @henson79010 · Try resetting the BIOS by performing a full power refresh. · Disconnect the main battery from the motherboard, remove the coin cell RTC battery from the motherboard, press and hold the laptop's power button for a full 30 seconds and then release it. · Reinsert the coin cell battery (+ve side up), reconnect the main battery to the motherboard, reassemble the laptop, connect the charger and then check if it starts OK. · Update (12/29/23) · If the motherboard is a Compal LA-J108P/J109P here's the · schematic. · The Power button is on p.77 top left of page.

Did you use a brand new CMOS battery that you purchased or one that you had sitting around? Also which cable did you unplug and then 'put it back'? Make sure the CMOS battery is secure in the holder and is right side up (you should see the + on the battery facing up). Also when you replaced the battery did you leave the battery out of the holder for 15 minutes before inserting the new battery? Of course since the system worked fine before you cleaned it out then the possibility exists that you could have affected the MB such as a loose RAM module, a short on the MB, or bent the CMOS battery holder contacts.

The pattern 3 amber, one white indicates that it's time to change the CMOS battery. It's a coin sized battery wrapped in black plastic with a red and black wire connected to the motherboard near the fan. I hope that helps you.

Error code: 3 amber, 1 white = CMOS battery failure It's a CR2032 coin cell battery, ~3.  Read/follow instructions here. Be sure to put a soft/clean cloth down under the screen when you turn PC over to start the procedure, so you don't scratch the LCD.

If the battery has been replaced with a compatible model and still does not work, there may be a motherboard fault. Can you try a BIOS update and test again with the new battery? Tried all the Dell Support online options. Nothing. Still 3,3 code error lights on a Dell Latitude. Tried the CTRL+ESC and even the F12 boot. Nothing. Tried putting what I think is a bootable USB with BIOS. Nothing. Tried putting a bootable USB with Windows. Nothing. No Dell splash screen or any other intermediary screen.
