Need a new laptop and wondering if Dell's black friday sales are worth waiting for or if they just discount models nobody wants. I'm looking at the XPS line mostly but those never seem to go on major sales.

I'm checking out the Dell laptop black friday deals and wanted to get some input before I pull the trigger on anything.
I'm looking for something reliable for day to day work that can handle light creative tasks and occasional travel. I’m in the US and trying to stay in a reasonable midrange budget without ending up with a model that has battery issues or build problems down the line. I don’t need anything super high end but I want something that will last a few years.
I've gone through Dell's sale page but the number of Inspiron, XPS and Latitude options is kind of overwhelming.

I don't see much on the black Friday list... I recommend the Dell Pro 14 Plus or the Dell Pro 16 Plus to all my clients. It has an aluminum chassis. So much less likely to have hinge failure, like all the plastic laptops we see on here day after day. it might be a little out of your price range, but it's what I'd recommend for durability. You might also take a look at the Lenovo Thinkpad X9 15 Aura Edition. There's some great deals on that right now.

Latitudes sure, XPS maybe. Latitudes are workstation grade, some XPS are, but you can find a refurbished latitude for half the price that has more than a few years of life left. Always aim for enterprise grade hardware from being manufacturers like HP, Dell or Lenovo. Everything else is meh
