Dell laptops have issues with the power regulation chip. What you need to do is pull the back cover off and unplug both the main battery and the CMOS battery. You need to be very very careful removing the CMOS battery. Do not pull the battery out by the wires. I find it’s best to use a plastic pry tool of some form, whether it be a spudger, old credit card or some other thin semi-semi blunt plastic tool. If you rock the two sides back and forth then push out the connector down the center, it will come out. Plug both batteries back in and plug in the charger, then attempt to turn the laptop on. If all went well, the CPU fan should spin over a few times before the machine finally boots back up. I've tried this but it still doesn't work. The problem where my computer turns off while gaming is avoided by removing the battery and running the PC on the AC directly. As for the battery problem nothing changed. I suspect it's either a battery hardware problem, or more probably software problem because when the battery is connected the PC recognizes it but doesn't use it. This might explain why it turns off when I'm gaming if both AC and battery are connected as it switches between the two. Maybe I don't really know. I've been avoiding sending it to a service center because I will have to travel quite far for the nearest one but I might end up having to do it.

Hi Saintmatthew, Kindly Remove the Battery, the AC Adapter and any other devices connected to the system. Press and hold the power button continuously for 30 seconds to release the Flea Power and then try to switch on the system with the battery and adapter connected. Also run a diagnostic test on the system. Press FN+Power button together to initiate the diagnostics.  If the test fails, please make a note of any error codes listed. I had the same issue and removing the battery connection solved the issue. Took me less then 5 minutes to do. Just remove the base cover and then disconnect the connector to the battery for about 10 seconds. Once plugged back in, it powered up and everything is normal again.
