According to the Dell Support page that beep code is consistent with a Power Rail failure and the solution for that would be to replace the system board which isn't the most pleasant answer in the world, sorry about that. Nothing turns on except for lights(excluding caps lock), and even then the lights turn on wrong, they arent supposed to turn back off after holding on button. (Srry for bad lighting)

Latitude 5420 is not booting. I used it like 20 mins earlier and it was all good, I finished my work, put the lid down and 20 mins later when I tried to turn it on, the laptop would not boot.
The keyboard lights came on for a second when I pressed the power button, but the laptop would not boot. I tried pressing the power button again and nothing happened. I plugged in the charger and tried it again after a couple of mins and this is what it is doing now. The charging light goes off as soon as I press the power button.
Tried the usual static discharge, plugged off the charger and battery, held down the power button for 30 seconds, did it 5 times, not helping.
Anyone have a clue what could be wrong?

It's possible that the power was drained so low that the computer just needs to get a minimum level of charge before turning on. Leave it charging for about 15 minutes, and then try powering on normally. Remove battery and charger, hold power button for 30 seconds. Then, reconnect the battery and the charger, then try powering it on. Dell claims this procedure forces the capacitors on the MD to drain any residual power. I don’t know how accurate this is, but it works. It’s described on the Tech Direct certificate course i took.

Unplug the battery and try on charger-only, I’ve had instances of laptops where the battery is so bad it won’t power on with it still plugged in

Board can be dead without looking dead too, if you connect the charger and press the power button does caps lock light go on or not?
