Stability wise? 11 had been out how many years now? Sure, lately some Windows 11 updates have had issues, but that’s expected now with MS. Windows 10 has been end of life since October 2025. I get it, people resist change. I run some PowerShell scripts to make Windows 11 feel like Windows 10. Especially the right click menu and moving the Windows Start to the left. Another thing is I avoid any Windows “Home” edition and get the Pro version. More on reddit.com

I had a 3180 with similar specifications and it performed okay. I'm gonna get a Dell Latitude 3819 for christmas, (writing this on a borrowed computer btw). it's the base model, (Celeron N3350 or smth). My question is if w11 is at least runnable if i have:
Celeron N3350
4gigs of ram
128gigs of storage
win10 pro
I just wanted to know, is it runnable? Can it make light gaming or schoolwork? Will it be a headache to open a chrome tab? Can another browsers like Firefox, Opera, etc can make it faster? Do i need to upgrade the storage or the RAM? And if yes, is there drivers? Or do i just stick with W10?

My 7390 2-in-1 32GB/512GB can, but it's a no for me until 11 is fully baked... Too many problems.

Officially,, the CPU is too old to support Windows 11, so if you try to upgrade or use the Media Creation Tool to create a USB and try to install it, it will fail. However, if you download the Windows 11 ISO using the Media Creation Tool, the use Rufus to write the that ISO to a USB stick, it has the ability to bypass the requirements - so will then install. Whether it will be a great experience is another thing. The 1.5Ghz mobile processor in the 7370 was a bit slow...

I can tell you the most likely reason: as features were added to the TPM, the size of the code required likely increased markedly. It's been happening to firmware for quite some time -- and the older chip used for 1.2 likely can't accommodate the larger code block required for 2.0. Just as many older systems have fewer firmware features than newer ones -- and can't be upgraded, the same thing probably happened with the TPM firmware (or for that matter, to the support code required by the BIOS/UEFI chip), which itself could play a role.

This is already an 8 year old system, and by the time Windows 10 goes end of life in 2025, it'll be 12 -- there's no need to trash anything. TPM 1.2 to 2.0 upgrades are not always just firmware -- it depends on the silicon.
