Dell outlet buying experience (as a longtime Alienware/Dell buyer)
[Dell Outlet] Alienware m15 r7 QHD gaming laptop - RTX 3070 Ti GPU (140 W TGP) / i7-12700H CPU / 15.6" 240 Hz 1440p display / 1 TB SSD / 16 GB RAM - $1435 with coupon FLASH, $1367 after Rakuten rebate (like new open box)
Use Rakuten to get an 2% + $40 rebate (that's $79)
If you don't have a Rakuten account, sign up through this link to receive the additional $40 rebate on any purchase you make using Rakuten within 90 days.
The bonus is normally $30, but if you sign up between now and 11/18 you'll lock in the bigger $40 bonus (so you can use it on any Lenovo, Dell, HP, ebay, or Walmart deal that pops up through the end of the big holiday period).
With the bonus the net price is effectively $1367 plus tax after rebate.
If you're unfamiliar with Rakuten, here's a little tutorial showing how to use it.
American Express, CapitalOne, and Chase cardholders may be able to activate additional cash back with their cards - check your respective rewards portals (Dell outlet purchases should code as general dell.com purchases, and qualify for the same "spend $XX, get $XX cash back" offers).
Models with 32 GB of RAM are also available at the link above for ~$100 more.
More on reddit.comDell Outlet Refurbished Monitors?
have bought several in the past 8 years or so; as upgrades mostly, or with a new desktop (also via the Outlet). first a 22-inch oddball back in 2014, then a U2415 for Wife's new machine in 2018. dual U2717D displays in early 2020, although bought separately months apart. the latest was a S3221QS at end of last year. that was my first non-Ultrasharp, but reviews seemed fair and the deal was a steal. they have always been pristine out of the box, sometimes basically new (some Outlet inventory is "overstock"), and none have ever failed or needed exchange or repair. except for the 22 all are in active service today.
all my experiences with the Outlet, since i started shopping it in 2006, have been perfectly fine to just damn wonderful. any device that disappointed would have done so if i had bought new; used/refurbished condition was never a factor. for displays, the price just cannot be beat, especially for an Ultrasharp monitor. there are often extra discount codes so you can stretch the savings further, into a bigger or better display or just simply save more money.

i was just looking into this last night. apparently, scratch & dent products are certified refurbished WITH some kind of aesthetic issue:

More on reddit.comHonestly I've done the outlet before but contrary to what I've heard here I had the easiest experience ever. Laptop worked fine and nothing was wrong. I hear bad stories all the time and it made me nervous but it all went well. No complaints after a few weeks!
