I don’t know if this helps since you were talking about business laptops, but I got my son really good Inspiron 5510, 15 inch for school. It’s been about six months and I’ve had no issues so far. More on reddit.com

I have the vostro 16 with the same specs and I have found several issues (for me): noisy 3.5" mic in flawed usb port on the left side (plug in a usb 3.2 gen2 device and it will not work) subpar thermal dissipation system RAM soldered to the mobo keyboard issues in Linux (it's not clear if it's due to device firmware or linux drivers) More on reddit.com

Vostros seem to just be Inspirons rebranded for businesses, so it’s not a surprise that they don’t have great build quality. Precisions or higher end Latitudes seem to be the way to go if you want to avoid Inspiron rebadges. It doesn’t seem like a problem limited to Dell however, other brands suffer hinge problems on lower end products too. More on reddit.com

Every time that I try to get a review for a Vostro laptop I get comments that don't say anything but "Vostro is bad Lattitude is good"
Why? Can someone please explain that to me?
I'm a student and I don't have enough money to spend on Lattitude, the Vostro is in my price range and I really need a new computer.

My first dell was a vostro and I was super happy with it. Not sure if anything has changed since 2013 when I bought it. I had it for 6 years.

Hey all,
I want to buy a new laptop and I've narrowed my options to two dell laptops:
-
Vostro 16 with i7-1360p, iris xe, 16 GB ram and 1 TB ssd at 799 usd
-
Inspiron 16 plus with i7-13620h, RTX 3050, 16 GB ram and 1 TB ssd at 999 usd
My main uses will be for collage (I study software engineering), coding and occasionally gaming.
Which of these two machine will be more suitable to my use? and which one do you recommend?
Also if you have other suggestions I would like to hear, my budget is up to 1200 usd.

I have an Inspiron 16 5620 and love it!! Paid $800 or so.
