Way to disable blinking error codes for Dell (XPS)?
Dell XPS15 9560 charging status LED is blinking orange / white

I broke the screen of my Dell XPS 13 (2020) by managing to trip over the cable so hard the laptop fell from my desk.
Dell support wasn't particularly helpful in quoting me a price before doing the replacement, so I decided to do it myself. No biggy, I've done this stuff before, and I replaced it without any issues.
Except of course there's an issue now. The big LED on the laptop keeps giving me the error code for a broken display (2 Yellow, 7 White blinks). The new display works without issue and funnily enough, the blinking only happens when I run it in battery mode or with a power supply other than the original Dell one. (Sometimes it's fine if I start with the power supply connected and then remove it, sometimes it's not...)
I have no idea why this is happening. I triple checked the display connection, I ran diagnostics, and it can't find anything, but the blinking won't go away. Since the laptop works perfectly fine, at this point I really just want to get rid of the blinking. So that's my question: Is there a way to just disable these blinking error codes? I've scoured the BIOS, but I can't find anything.
I know I'm potentially risking missing a different issue (if disabling is even possible) but I'm really, really annoyed, and I'm willing to live with this. Would resetting CMOS by removing the battery be enough?
Yesterday I was using my laptop while it was charging and it just shut off. I tried turning it on but the power button (top right of the keyboard, not the charging indicator) just stays white for a second then starts blinking. Nothing happens other than that. I've tried charging it for a while, changing outlets, waiting a while then charging again and removing the battery then holding the power switch but nothing works. Any suggestions?
Edit: mine is working again, but I have no clue why. Let it sit on a shelf for a couple months because I didn't have time to send it to Dell. one day I decided to try again and it's just working and I have no clue why. The only thing I changed was I was on a different outlet when I plugged it in (and obviously let it sit for a months). It gave me errors about my CMOS battery if that makes any difference, and it was crashing before I updated windows and BIOS, but now it works perfectly other than it doesn't charge sometimes (plugged in, not charging). Honestly really confused.
Oh look. I’m adding to the list of people Dell doesn’t give a flip about. This JUST happened to mine today. I’ve had this thing less than two years, and it’s essentially a $2600 brick. Dell refused to help unless I pay for tech support. What kind of crap is that?
Hey all! I know this thread is from quite awhile ago but my laptop recently started doing the same thing as everyone else. It only worked with the battery disconnected and when connected the power button would slowly blink. I tried resetting cmos, cleaning every part I could, etc etc. I did end up finding my fix though and I hope it helps at least 1 other. For me it ended up being a bad connection between the power adapter and the DC power jack socket in the laptop. Taking a look inside the socket was where I found my problem. Three of the copper pins were pinned to the outside of the socket. One of the copper pins had broken away from the wall and got stuck inside, up against the center column. I took the smallest flathead screwdriver I had and wedged it away from the center and back to the outer wall. Once I got it put back in place I made sure to angle my power adapters connector in a way that would keep that pin to the outside. It plugged in much easier than it had been recently and lo and behold my battery started charging and laptop started. Hope this helps someone!
