I am looking to get feedback on the Hyatts in Denver.
We were originally interested in staying at the Grand Hyatt or Hyatt Regency convention center. However, I see a couple of cons with these:
Parking - parking seems to be a problem in Downtown Denver. It seems like most of the big Hyatt’s (Grand, Regency) charge up to $50 a night for parking?
The going rates for these hotels are ~$150/12000 points. Not exactly the best value for your points, but it’s the Grand Hyatt, right? Is it still worth staying there, or at a Hyatt Place (like in Aurora), $220/6500 points? I’ve heard this Hyatt is in a bit so nice area, but if it’s safe enough to sleep at and commute from, and is clean and “new” Enough, I feel it’s worth it.
We would still have to pay $30 for breakfast to stay at Grand Hyatt, but alternatively wouldn’t mind staying at a new contemporary Hyatt place with decent continental breakfast.
So parking and extra fees, along with bad dollars per point value, is currently dissuading us from staying at the Grand.
Would you recommend a nice Hyatt Place/House or other Hyatt to stay at? 12,000 points or less preferably. Currently, 6 nights at the Grand Hyatt is 81,000 points, but it might be worth to stay at a Hyatt Place or “cheaper” Hyatt for 50,000 points. Just need the recommendation on which of then”cheaper” Hyatts are worthwhile.
Any insiders knowledge and recommendations on Denver Hyatts is much appreciated!

Denver is on one of my circuits, so I have actually stayed at every full service there. I really like the Grand, and they always treat me really well so that is generally where I stay but it depends on what you want out of the Denver trip? Parking sucks downtown and everyone charges alot, though you can usually find off property for like $25. Breakfast there is the buffet on the weekend and it sucks, which is weird because the kitchen there is actually decent but the Buffet is sad always. Also the Grand is in a generally "fine" area but at night there have been incidents around (yes I know it is only a couple blocks from the mall). The CCC Regency is a very nice hotel but more business geared - that said if you wanted to walk to DAM or Larimer/DCPA it is in a good spot with a bunch of good food around it. Better night location with city park excepted. The Centric (you didnt ask) is decidedly "okay" - the restaurant is probably the bright spot but needs to tone down the salt imo. For the aim being to be in the center of things it is the most walking of any of them. The Thompson doesnt really fit my vibe and I think they put themselves in a weird spot by charging about the same as the 4 seasons/ritz without quite delivering that level. Also I think it is silly to put price tags on everything in the room. Great location if you want the mall or DCPA/Larimer though. The DTC HH and Regency are fine, though I had some bad experiences at the DTC Regency. So all-in-all what do you want out of your trip there? Also like half the mall was torn up when I was there last week.

First time poster, but semi-long stalker I have no status with Hyatt, but a substantial amount of points from Chase to transfer. I am needing one night in Denver in Sep for my family of 4. It looks like my best option is to transfer Chase points to Hyatt for their Grand Hyatt in Denver (shocker Chase to Hyatt is the best hotel deal lol). I will have a rental car that costs $60 to park. I am looking around for a GOH b/c that includes free parking. Besides free parking, does anyone know what else comes with Globalist at this location to see if its worth me getting a GOH award besides offsetting parking costs? With GOH, you will get breakfast (should be good for 2+2 kids) and there is a possibility of a suite upgrade. You are also eligible for 4pm checkout. No club Edit: sorry thought this was Regency. No Peaks but everything else is the same. For parking there is a garage literally attached to the same garage GH uses. 555 17th parking garage. Cheaper than GH if you go that route
