Not newest, I'd say the 7" and 9" flexvolt models along with the flat head grinders. But as far as a motor, the dcg416 is as solid as it gets for 4-1/2". Whats the best 20v compact grinder?

I was looking at the DCG416B, but kind of confused with al the various 20v models.

I was leaning towards something that can use 60v /20v or maybe FLEXVOLT because a grinder seems like to would eat up batteries quickly, but I'd also rather have something compact.

I don;t know enough about them to know whether I'd prefer a paddle switch or a side switch, thats what is also making to hard to decide. Whats better side switch pr paddle?

Dcg412 or dcg413? Ones brushed, ones brushless, i know. But what is everyone's experiences with either of these? I need one for occasional light use. Sharpening a mower blade, cutting metal.

For a grinder, going brushless is definitely worth it. I have a DCG416 (one of the discontinued FlexVolt Advantage models), and although it bogs down a bit if you lean on it too much and goes through batteries like nothing else, it's given me several years of occasionally heavy use without an issue.

Hey dude. I got the brushless model and I honestly can’t fault it. Bought it to refurbish a boat trailer. But since that I’ve managed to re grout a huge patio with a stone cutting disk. Cut countless bit of bar and flap rust off numerous things. I’d always go brushless.

Looking to pick up a new 20v grinder…. Debating between the Home Depot deal that comes with DCG410VSB + 8ah XR power pack, or the DCG413B on Amazon which is heavily deducted in price at the moment… my question is what is the major differences between DCG413B and DCG410VSB.

the DCG410VSB has a variable speed paddle, a more powerful motor, and I believe a larger guard for 5in discs. It's also about 1lb heavier. Both have kickback brake and a brushless motor
