I noticed that Combustion was shipped via DHL, and I was wondering if there might be an option to choose a different carrier, such as UPS Ground Saver or USPS Ground Advantage. In my experience, these services tend to be faster and have more reliable delivery personnel. I'd even be willing to pay an extra $5 for a $200 product to use a preferred delivery method.
The reason I bring this up is that DHL recently attempted to deliver my package and marked it as "no access," despite the delivery location being in a public space. This isn't the first time I've encountered issues with DHL, and I thought it might be helpful to share this feedback.
So I made a purchase with Asmart and I was curious - which delivery service actually delivers for DHL? Do they have their own service here or is it handed off to USPS, UPS or FedEx? I I couldn't find a clear answer on this. I was debating removing the signature confirmation but might just leave it on. Thanks!
Update: Just arrived! It came in a DHL truck. It was supposed to require a signature but he just left it at the door. No big deal though.
Hey,
It's my first time using etsy and I got a wonderful gift for my girlfriend through a super friendly seller (better customer service than most stores while being in a different country and time zone 😀).
They got me all set up and shipped out.. and its through DHL Express. I'm totally not upset at the seller, after all she has done this over a thousand times I'm sure so it obviously must work good.
However, isn't dhl known to be less trustworthy delivering packages than a crackhead told to deliver a letter with crack in it?
I've just heard way too many bad stories about DHL, and christmas is right around the corner and I'm a little worried it will get broken or just "casually tossed onto my porch" and be damaged.
Thanks for any info!
