Really struggling with boy names. There are tons of girl names that I like but very few boy names and I really want to prepare a wealth of options to mull over with my partner as we try for a baby. So far the ones I know I like are: Joss, Levi, Ian, and Cy. How I, at least, perceive these are simple timeless names, short in length, not too posh sounding and not too trendy. Feel free to let me know if you disagree but I am mostly looking for suggestions to add to my list.
Having a baby boy in a few days (who knows) and stuck on a name. We’re thinking Jack after my wife’s Dad or Forrest… Forrest we think people will call him ‘Gump’ but we love the name and peeps are A-holes. Are there any other cool/badass names besides previously mentioned? Suggestions? Open to anything. Think outside the box plz.
Why are boy names sooo difficult? There’s so many girl names that I like. I swear I’ve read through all the boys names that exist & I barely like any. I’m thinking I might have to go the creative route.
Benjamin is the only “normal” name I really like, & I like all variants of the nicknames (Ben, Benny, Benji)
“Normal” names I kind of like: Logan (I think this just sounds super cool to me bc of Wolverine), Miles (which is now spiderman which is probably why I like the name), Beau (one of my friends might use this name, I do really like it though)
What are some really cool creative names that could be used for a boy? Even names that might make people’s eyes roll.
Wolf sounds badass, but if I stare at the name too long it just looks weird and doesn’t roll off the tongue nicely. So maybe similar vibes but not necessarily sound if that makes sense?
Hey! So me and hubby would like help with figuring out some baby boy names that come off as being, strong, intense, rich in sound etc. Sorry if that description sounds odd, but its the only way I can think to describe what I'm looking for. Heres a few each of us like, but can't seem to agree on:
Lazarus, Conan, Luca, Damon.
Any suggestions are appreciated, thank you!
My husband and I learned we are having a boy last weekend. If you saw my previous post from a few months ago, I expressed worry over having a boy because my husband is insistent on having a junior (not a tradition in his family, just something he came up with on his own...) and I am not interested in it for a myriad of reasons.
He does not want to use his first name as our son's middle name, and my husband's middle name is his mom's maiden name, and not really suitable as a first name. All that is to say, I am having a really challenging pregnancy, and as such, I am 100% not willing to lie down and agree to have no say in my son's name.
So! I need to come up with some really good alternatives! I have read long lists of baby boy names to my husband, but he rejected all of them, though he was lukewarm on Nate. Our last name is two syllables and ends with an O, so I thought names like Leo and Theo were cute, but they were quickly rejected.
I'm looking for help with boy name ideas! I'm trying to avoid the overly popular names, as I have a unique name and love it, but I also know if I play it safe, I'm more likely to find something he will agree to. Would love any and all advice! Here's the list that was vetoed already:
Austin
August
Parker (my fav)
Dean
Daniel
Matthew
William
Leo
Brooks
Bennett
Beau
Levi
Harrison (he didn't hate it, though!)
Noah
Declan
Oliver
Sawyer
Easton
