I'm from Europe and I don't think they are a thu g here but recently I've seen a lot of post about people from the States changing their plates for digital ones...
What's the benefit of it? I would've thought that normal metal plates are longer lasting and better if someone crash into you, etc.

I’m imagining they can be controlled. So if a vehicle breaks some kind of law, it would flash bright colors so everyone on the road can spot it. In reality, it will probably be used as ad space.

I'm in California where digital license plates like Reviver's RPlates are legal to buy/install.
I have seen a few cars with them and think they look pretty nice. I've been debating whether I want to get one, but I don't think I'm sold on the security of the plate itself just yet. Curious whether anyone here has one and what issues (if any) you've had with them.
I know the price for it is high, but that's not my main concern with it right now.
