r/Naturewasmetal - “Fighting Dinosaurs” is a fossil depicting a velociraptor and a protoceratops in the midst of combat. The protoceratops has bitten into the velociraptor’s arm, while the predator is tearing into the protoceratops with its claws. They died and were fossilized still locked together.

This is a fossil found in Mongolia of two dinosaurs fighting to the death, a Velociraptor has sunk its deadly foot claw deep into the neck of the Protoceratops but he fought back. It has thrown the Velociraptor to the ground before it, and its jaws are locked on to the predator's right arm.
It's one of the most famous dinosaur fossils. It's incredibly well preserved plus it shows two dinosaurs in action. It's a real scenery and that's why it's extraordinary. And that's because of this kind of fossils young students are usually disappointed by their first digging. Because most of the time, you only find a few partial bones and it's a real mess. Could it be that the protoceratops was just snacking on an already dead raptor? How do we confirm that it was combat? Also, how did two seemingly healthy dinosaurs suddenly die mid-combat? Did they kill each other, or was it a natural disaster? So many questions. Really cool, though. More on reddit.com

The Dueling Dinosaurs is a fossil that consists of the fossilized skeletons of a young Tyrannosaurus and a Triceratops entangled with one another. Despite its name it is not known whether they were actually buried fighting one another.
Isn’t there another one like that, but it’s some kind of raptor with a protoceratops? More on reddit.com

November 19, 2022 - The only other similar dinosaur specimen I can think of, the Montana Dueling Dinos (found in 2006) which are currently being prepared in a museum in North Carolina. It was discussed already in this thread. Outside of dinos, there's also a pretty well-known Columbian mammoth find from Nebraska that appears to show two males that died while fighting. ...
