Dinosaur Bones: Learning from Fossils | AMNH
The "dinosaur bones" that you see on display at the Museum aren't really bones at all. Through the process of fossilization, ancient animal bones are turned into rock.
People also ask

Are Dinosaur Fossils Fragile or Durable?
Fossils are usually durable due to mineralization, but delicate features should be handled with care. Many are stabilized or mounted for safe display.

Where Dinosaurs Roamed - Fossils and Paleontology (U.S. National Park Service)
Eastern dinosaurs come from the rift valleys of the Late Triassic and Early Jurassic, and coastal areas of the much higher seas of the Cretaceous. We can see this pattern in a map of National Park Service units with dinosaur fossils, which are concentrated in and around the Colorado Plateau (Four Corners states).

Why are some dinosaur fossils radioactive?

It seems credible. During the process of fossilization water can deposit uranium- and thorium-bearing minerals. This happens for uranium when oxidized water containing dissolved uranium encounters a reducing environment and the uranium precipitates. There is a type of uranium deposit called a "roll front" which forms by this process.

Here is an interesting site for people who prepare fossils discussing radioactivity.

I dig up dinosaur fossils. I am a Paleontologist. You know, like the song. AMA.
When I was a kid I went through the Dinosaur stage and become obsessed with being a Paleontologist. Everyone had the Dino stage... but then I had a Space/Plane thing and never looked back. Anyways, my question is: how does it compare to the childhood dream of hanging out with freakin' dinosaurs everyday? More on reddit.com

A fish fossil. Nearly all fossils we find are from marine animals because sediments like mud and sand quickly bury their remains. The most common way an animal such as a dinosaur fossilises is called petrification.

3 days ago - Some fossils are so exciting that when first shown at academic conferences, they draw audible gasps even from experienced palaeontologists. Zavacephale is one of these. The stunning skeleton of this one-metre-long plant-eating dinosaur was discovered in 110-million-year-old rocks in the Gobi Desert of Mongolia and described by palaeontologist Tsogtbaatar Chinzorig and colleagues.

Which Dinosaur Bones Are “Real”? - Field Museum
June 11, 2019 - SUE the T. rex is an incredibly complete fossil, and Máximo the Titanosaur is a cast. Here’s why we have both. ... This is a question we often hear from visitors as they roam the Field Museum, especially about dinosaur bones. And it’s a valid one: alongside fossil skeletons, we sometimes display casts, which are made from extremely accurate molds that are shaped directly from the fossils.
