I know dinosaurs have a full name, like how a spinosaurus can also be spinosaurus aegypticus. Or triceratops is triceratops horridus. What is that full name called? I've been trying to find these names for other dinosaurs, but looking up dilophosaurus scientific name, or pterodactyl full name doesn't yield any results. If there is a term for these names, I'm sure finding them would be much easier. Thank you!
Edit: with the help of a commentator, I remembered from my biology class that it's called a binomial nomenclature name. There's that for anyone who wants to sound smarter when talking about dinosaurs.
Dinosaur Identification I have theories that I'll list below
-
Theropod
-
Coelophysis (?)
-
Stegosaur (Kentrosaurus?)
-
Sauropod (Brontosaurus?)
-
Theropod (Megalosaurus/Allosaurus?)
-
Herbivore of some kind
