My friend’s kiddo is currently interested in dinosaurs. I’m looking to get him a couple of books and toys for when he comes over. I have a thing for scientific accuracy. I briefly looked at a couple of local thrift stores, but I couldn’t find anything that wasn’t cringey inaccurate. I was thinking Schleich or Papo, but I wanted to get some input. Also, if anyone has any specific kid-friendly book titles, I’d appreciate it!

I have a 2 year old son who has just discovered the badassery of dinosaurs. Kid loves books, movies, toys etc. Any advice from dads who have been through this to help facilitate his new fascination? Any movies, toys, etc that I can get him to foster this? His mom and I like dinosaurs too but wanted to get help on how to grow this interest. TIA

There’s a show on D+ called Dino ranch that’s pretty good. Not necessarily the most accurate but still. We got a bunch of my kids dinosaur stuffed animals from IKEA if there’s one nearby. Also got some dinosaur skeleton figurines off if Amazon to hide in kinetic sand or regular sand so it’s like he’s discovering them. Obviously the sand is messy but he enjoys it.
