Sometimes you get lost in just the skeletal reconstructions of Tyrannosaurus, you see it over and over, or you see it in (even the best) paleoart reconstructions that don’t really bother for scale, and typically that’s for good reason. It’s amazing as an animal, something even better than an icon, in all honesty. And then you see it there, dwarfing those people, and it really hits you what it would have been like to see it in life. To feel it’s breathing in the air, to see its enormity shifting with grace and immensity. I don't know what it is, but everytime I see this picture I think of all the species we will never know about that once existed.
