For a newbie, can someone with experience in direct ad sales - do you mind sharing your experience on -
what the typical process looks like
how do you source the deals (any marketplaces/aggregators ) ?
what are the deal structures typically like ? what are the deal sizes, in $ terms, typically like ?
post deal (once you get the advertiser), what is the rest of the process like ?
are there any courses/resources that you would recommend on this ?
When you answer, if you could provide more context (your domain, which type(domain) of web/app your experience is in, that would be really helpful.
Appreciate any inputs, and thanks in advance!

I wanted to tap the collective genius of this adops community regarding direct ad sales offers. Enticing agencies and brands can be a challenge at times depending on the site and what the offers are. If there's not much differentiation from targeting inventory through DSP platforms, why would brands pay higher CPMs to buy direct? I know there are some good answers to that question so what are some of the things your organization/clients/3rd parties offer to get brands and agencies to say "yes" to buying direct? This can include categories like unique ad units, sponsorships, data, etc. Thanks for reading!
In demand inventory that is not available programmatically
Not sure if this is helpful but I traffic ads in an industry with very specific technical niches. Direct ads allow advertisers to directly tap into those audiences since there is really no interest for anyone outside of these niches to visit these sites. The site owners know this, which creates a way to charge advertisers premium rates for their properties. Many do not even open their inventory to ad networks. Also being able to lockdown ads to the site is another plus in the advertisers minds.
