Finders Keepers. Go to Ashley Furniture right next to them and pick out some overpriced furniture you like and bring finders the model numbers. They get it at wholesale for massive savings. They also have really great second hand items. I’ve purchased a large sectional sofa and a dining room table from them, always a great experience. More on reddit.com

Don't sleep on estate sales. Or driving to the Mennonites/Amish areas. But don't cheap out on mattresses or buy them secondhand. Usually around holidays like memorial day/labor day/4th of july the mattress companies do sales. I got my Queen for the price of a twin size. Better to buy a cheap frame and quality mattress. But the other comment is right. Don't feel like you need to fill the house immediately. Washer/dryer depends on if you want fancy or a workhorse. There's several scratch and dent appliance shops. Personally I went for cheap 'brainless' washer dryer set from Best Buy after I watched my inlaws fancy front loader die in under a year. Best buy hauled away my old stuff, installed the new. Still running strong 5 years later. But often cheap washer/dryer sets can be found on the marketplace from people moving. Downside you likely have to move it yourself. More on reddit.com

Check Costco first before moving on to the normal furniture stores. If they have something you like, it will likely be a better value than anything you’ll find elsewhere. B.F. Meyer’s would be my next stop. Depending on where you’re located in Nashville, it could be a bit of a drive, but it’s worth it.
